Warm-Up 4/13/16 In your notebook write and answer the following question: Would you rather live in an urban area or a rural area? Pick one and give me AT LEAST 4 reasons that led you to choose that area

Learning Target: We will analyze the impact of national and international markets and events on the production of goods and services in Texas such as agriculture, oil and gas, and computer technology Language Objective: We will describe impact of economic concepts within the free enterprise system such as supply and demand, profit, government regulation, and world competition on the economy of Texas Success Criteria: I will create a chart of one industry that will show the supply and demand of the business.

BLUE BELL IS GOING GLOBAL!!! You and your team are now members of the board of directors of Blue Bell Ice Cream in Brenham, TX. The team has decided to expand the company to all 50 states and even other nations! You must create a plan and predict the impact of Blue Bell going global, by answering the following questions on the next slide. You will answer the questions on the content windows Once you complete the questions you’ll create a marketing poster for Blue Bell going global.

What is the likely impact on the city of Brenham, TX, if Blue Bell increases production? What is the likely impact on Texas’ farmers if Blue Bell increases production? (It takes milk from 60,000 cows to make one day’s current product of Blue Bell) Would all production continue in Texas or open up new shops around the country?
