AP Human Geography Cultural Processes Unit Religion Project

For today, 11/18 Pick up a Religion Project guideline (they are little slivers of paper) Make note of the due date: Tuesday, December 2 It is due at the beginning of class – you do not get to work on it You will have today, tomorrow, and Friday to work during class It is a group project The class will be divided into 8 groups. This means each group will be between 2-4 people, depending on the class period.

Project Requirements (1.) The finished product must be able to be hung on the wall outside my classroom (hallway to the elevator beside the giant world maps). (2.) The finished product must thoroughly answer the 10 sets of questions. (3.) Each group must turn in an MLA-style works cited page with a minimum of 10 sources. (4.) The finished product and works cited page are due at the beginning of class, Tuesday, December 02.

The Questions: Answers come research compiled by the Association of Religion Data Archives (1.) What percent of Americans say they “absolutely” believe in extraterrestrials? (2.) What percent of Americans say they “have no doubt that God exists?” (3.) What percent of Americans “strongly agreed” with this statement: “Humans evolved from primates over millions of years?” (4.) What percent of Americans say they “pray several times a day?” (5.) What percent of Americans say homosexuality is “not at all wrong?” (6.) What percent of Americans say Bigfoot “absolutely exists?” (7.) What percent of Americans “strongly agree” that “God’” is a he?
