Mrs. Brown and Mrs. Hamlin’s Newsletter March 25-29 Important News 8 more weeks to go, kiddos! It’s crunch time! Math We will continue our Geometry unit this week. Students will keep practicing using a protractor to measure and draw angles. Students will be expected to relate angles to circles and know the benchmark degrees of a circle ¼=90 degrees, ½= 180 degrees, ¾= 270 degrees, full circle=360 degrees). Students will also practice finding the missing degrees of adjacent angles that measure 90 and 180 degrees. Language Arts This week, we will conclude the unit of Greek Mythology. On Friday, March 29th, Greek Mythology Project Posters are due. Each student will be expected to present their projects to the class. We will also began intense review of all comprehensive skills learned this year to ensure success on our upcoming state test. Science Students will get to observe the life cycle of a mealworm over the next several weeks! Social Studies We will began Unit 8: Exploring the South. We will be studying the Land and Climate and the Resources and Economy of the South. Students will have their study guides to study all week for the unit exam (Summative) on 4/2.
