Writing The Conclusion The conclusion completes a piece of writing. It gives a writer a final chance to communicate an idea and leave a strong impression on the reader.
A strong conclusion: Emphasizes the main point of the writing but says it in a different way. Summarizes or wraps up the writing.
A strong conclusion: Answers the question ”So what?” for the reader. Shows that the writing did what the writer wanted it to do.
A Conclusion Should NOT Introduce completely new ideas Simply restate the thesis. Mention minor topics from the writing. Make an overly emotional or exaggerated statement.
