Point #1: Play Title Put on the cover page, centered Capitalize the name of your play PAGE ONE
Point #2: Playwright’s Name Place this directly underneath the play title, centered Capitalize both the first and last names PAGE ONE
Point #3: Month & Year of Drama Magazine Place this directly underneath the author’s name, centered Capitalize the month PAGE ONE
Point #4: Setting Place this on the second page, justified left, with the title of SETTING and underline it Location: City, State, Country, Planet Year: 4 digits Reasoning: a small paragraph PAGE TWO
Point #5: Concept Word Label Concept Word and underline it, justified left Underneath, put your concept word PAGE TWO
Point #6: Concept Sentence Label Concept Sentence and underline it, justified left Underneath, put your concept sentence PAGE TWO
Point #7: Concept Statement Label Concept Statement and underline it, justified left Underneath, put your concept statement Your concept statement should be at least 5 sentences. Points will be taken off for less than this. PAGE TWO
Point #8: Set Design Label Set Design and underline it, justified left Underneath, you will draw the set design. Fill the whole page. You may draw it landscape, instead of portrait NOTE: You no longer have to do the paragraph description PAGE THREE
Point #9: Costume Design Label Costume Design and underline it, justified left Underneath it, you need to include a minimum of FOUR characters, and thoroughly describe what they are wearing (clothes, shoes, accessories), what their hair looks like, and any special make-up requirements Include their gender & age PAGE FOUR
Point #10: Lighting Design Label Lighting Design and underline it, justified left List the colors and describe why you are including this color in your design & how it affects your story and your audience You should somehow include the actual colors, visibly, to the side PAGE FIVE

Point #13: Blocking Only the bird’s eye view, and NOT the entire set design. No labels Include color coding and numbers Make sure to reference your character’s lines with their numbers PAGES SEVEN & EIGHT
