Recent decrease in UK and USA breast cancer mortality at ages 50–69 years Mean of rates at ages 50–54 years, 55–59 years, 60–64 years, 65–69 years. 1998 and provisional 1999 rates of 76–6 and 73–2 are for England and Wales only, where the 1997 rate was 79–2.
