30 January 2015 Do Now: Get your materials from yesterday and begin working. I will stop class about 8 mins in to check for comprehension of section 1 Your essay was due several days ago; you need to turn it in for credit. (Stapled: Rubric, Essay, Organizer) Today, I will be able to explain the 6 goals to the U.S. Constitution and the 5 principles of our government.

By the end of 30th Jan Your group should be mostly done reading 8.2.

Weekly Rundown 26 Jan: Work on essay organizer 27 Jan: 7.4 is due (15 pts hw weight); essay organizer is due (5pts), class time to work on argumentative essay 28 Jan: Argumentative essay is due (20 pts, major weight). U.S. Constitution 29 Jan: U.S. Constitution handout 30 Jan: Bill of Rights; U.S. Constitution handout.

Chapter 8 Please read the handout. I will check in with each group throughout the class period. If your group needs help, please ask me. At the end of the period: clean up your area, place the books in a neat/organized pile, turn in what you completed for the day, make sure you date your work…so if you complete Questions 1-7 today…put the date 1-29 beside those questions.
