Implications of the project Artisanal mining and agriculture: analyzing the linkages Research project Background Research questions What circumstances and risks hinder the viability of agriculture in mining areas and what should be done to overcome them? to what extent artisanal mining has particular linkages with agriculture, both forward and backward? Can agriculture be a potential alternative income activity should (artisanal) mining no longer possible? Under what circumstances/ conditions?
