GTR Corrections, Open Points, Expert Proposals and Confirmations in GTR 15 5/2/2019

Annex 5 Test equipment and calibrations 5/2/2019

Annex 5, Test equipment and calibrations Confirmation requested Annex 5, Test equipment and calibrations GTR Text: TASK: OPEN POINT: 28.04.2014: PM/PN experts are requested to clarify whether the "10 to 30" in paragraph 4.3.1.4. and the "10 and 15 " in paragraph 4.3.1.4.7.2. contradict each other. SEE NEXT SLIDE (Drafting Co.) 5/2/2019

Annex 5, Test equipment and calibrations Confirmation requested Annex 5, Test equipment and calibrations GTR Text: EXPERT GROUP LED BY T. ADAM: Paragraph 4.3.1.4.7.1. shall read as follows: “The diluter SHOULD be supplied….” Furthermore: the range is “10 to 20”. Paragraph 4.3.1.4.7.2. shall read as follows: The range is to be between “10 and 20”. The GTR was modified on 04.08.2014 accordingly. STATUS AS OF 22.09.2014: Entered in the GTR requesting comments < 31.10.2014 but this should be considered as being confirmed.. 5/2/2019

Annex 5, Test Equipment, §3.2.3.2.2.7. Calculating fuel consumption CONFIRMATION: Published in paper WLTP-08-08e and approved at WLTP IWG #8 in Pune. Annex 5, Test Equipment, §3.2.3.2.2.7. Calculating fuel consumption 5/2/2019

Annex 5, Test Equipment, §4.2.2.4. Buoyancy correction Confirmation Annex 5, Test Equipment, §4.2.2.4. Buoyancy correction GTR Text: EXPERT PROPOSAL: From C. Hosier: Addition of "and be used". 5/2/2019

Expert input required Annex 5, Test equipment and calibrations 5.2.2.5. Analyser calibration procedures EXPERT PROPOSAL: From I. Riemersma: It is not clear what is intended with this paragraph. Clearly it is not a requirement, but if that was the intention, it has to be rephrased into a requirement. From drafting co.: it is taken straight from ECE-R 83. From Les Hill: "range" should replace "scale". A value for "sensitivity" has never been specified previously. Having looked at the draft text, I cannot see any reason or any explanation for 5.2.2.5 apart from the analyser component, range and date of linearisation. Sensitivity has never been a reported parameter. 5.2.2.5. From the trace of the linearization curve and the linearization points it is possible to verify that the calibration has been carried out correctly. The different characteristic parameters of the analyser shall be indicated, particularly: (a) Scale; (b) Sensitivity; (c) Zero point; (d) Date of the linearization. 5/2/2019
