Tidy Towns Grants Purpose – Assist local groups competing in national Tidy Towns Competition Grant Range (Excl Athlone & Mullingar) - €500 to €5,000 Grant level depends on town size and marks in previous years TT competition Grant for ongoing expenses or improvement projects.

Residents Association Local group of houses (greater than 10 No) Purpose – Assist in enhancement local environment Grant Range - €150 to €650 Grant amount depends on number of houses and area maintained. Grant can be used for operational expenses and improvement works.

Community Action Grant All local groups other than Tidy Towns or Residents Associations Purpose – Assist groups in their work to improving the general wellbeing and quality of life of their area. Grants Range - €300 to €1,500 Grant may be utilised for general activities /operations of the group.

Community Day New initiative for 2019 Aim - encourage active citizenship Event where local people get together and mix with their neighbors. Event could be based around sport, history, food, culture, cup of tea, etc. May Bank holiday weekend. Budget of €10,000 The LCDC’s will distribute small grants of about €100 - €300 per event.

General Requirements Application Forms available Funding Clinics 7th March Athlone & 14th March Mullingar Closing Date – Friday 29th March Member of PPN Tax Number Bank Account Applications evaluated and approved by MD and paid by EFT Community Development Section of Westmeath County Council.
