Positives and Negative Characteristics of Gifted Kids EXAMPLE My total for this test was 14 positive characteristics and 12 negative characteristics. I only had 2 more positive characteristics than negative. I don’t agree with the characteristics ‘Always has a nose in a book and the book doesn’t always seem terribly appropriate’ What kind of book is not appropriate? An adult novel? A magazine? A sassy teenage high school novel? I want to know exactly what they mean by inappropriate.

May be mistaken for daydreaming or not paying attention’ should be on the positive list because it means they’re actually thinking. Nobody wants to have a classroom full of people who are not thinking. I personally think that this test is okay but that they should cut out some of the negative characteristics that are really stupid (i.e. ‘Can become a real pest’).
