Electro-Magnetic Ballast. Uses between 7 and 16 Watts. Electronic Ballast. Uses approximately 1.2 Watts. T12 38mm Ø fluorescent tube.First installations in the 1930s. T8 26mm Ø fluorescent tube.Became more common in the 1980s. T5 16mm Ø fluorescent tube. As of early 1990s. But… It is shorter and needs a new luminary fitting ($ $ $!). It only works with an electronic ballast. SOME BASIC CONCEPTS In Europe more than 90% of the more than 3 year old buildings use the T8/T12 illumination systems with electromagnetic ballasts. Even some new constructions are still done this way!

What is Eco-Tubo ® ? IT IS AN ADAPTOR WHICH ALLOWS THE USE OF THE NEW TECHNOLOGY T5 TUBES TO BE USED IN EXISTING FITTINGS (T8/T12). THE T5 TUBE IS SHORTER THAN THE T8/T12 TUBES AND THEREFORE NEEDS AN ADAPTOR. IT INCLUDES THE ELECTRONICS NECESSARY FOR THE NEW GENERATION T5. What does Eco-Tubo ® do? IT REDUCES THE ELECTRIC CONSUMPTION (IN ILLUMINATION) BY HALF. IT REDUCES YOUR CO 2 EMISSIONS BY HALF. IT GIVES A BETTER QUALITY OF LIGHT WITH INSTANT IGNITION, WITHOUT FLICKERING AND WITHOUT NOISE OR STROBOSCOPIC EFFECT.

An Economical and Ecological Solution Protection of the environment: The T5 tubes contain 38% less glass and phosphorous than the T8 tubes.
