Mandate of the IT Steering Committee - Main tasks - To discuss and evaluate an IT policy strategy for the ESS To exchange information/best practices To co-ordinate/supervise the work of STNE, EPROS, Metadata working groups

Mandate of the STNE working group - Main tasks - To build up co-operation on Information and Communication Technologies for the ESS To recommend and implement proposals relating to information technologies, EDI, telematic network, new technologies and related standardization issues To act as our IDA sectoral committee for project on the exchange of information and communication within the ESS

Mandate of the EPROS working group - Main tasks - To inform NSIs on statistical R&D activities To provide a forum to express NSIs needs To provide a forum for NSIs to follow R&D projects To facilitate exploitation of R&D projects

Mandate of the metadata working group - Main tasks - To define common standards for metadata in the ESS To co-ordinate the management of the meta information in the ESS To improve communication inside the ESS on metadata related issues
