Figure 1 PD-L2 Can Enhance T Cell Activation in Plasmodium-Infected Mice During malaria infection in humans, higher PD-L2 expression on DCs correlates with lower parasitemia. In mice, PD-L2 enhances CD4+ T cell immunity to malaria by competing with PD-L1 to diminish PD-1-mediated inhibition of T cell activation.
