Standards Based Grading

Grading Scale Each test will consist of 6 questions for each standard we have covered in class. 6/6 = Advanced = 100% 5/6 = Advanced = 93% 4/6 = Proficient = 85% 3/6= Basic = 75% 1/6 or 2/6 = Below Basic = 55%

Test Scores Each test will consist of questions on several standards. Each standard will receive an individual grade out of 100 points. So, on one test you will have several grades as opposed to one overall score.

retakes If you score below proficient (85%) on any standard, you will: Take the test home to have it signed and make corrections Complete additional practice and/or tutoring on those standards Retake a test on those standards the following Tuesday before school YOU WILL ONLY BE ALLOWED TO RETAKE A TEST ONE TIME AFTER PROVING YOU ARE READY.

Learning Targets It is your responsibility to record your progress on your learning targets sheet for each class. You will make your learning targets sheet available for your teacher or your parents at conference. You will be able to predict your performance on TCAP based on your performance on the learning targets throughout the year.
