Palacio Writing Workshop Research Based Argument Essay Note-taking Skills Social Studies Conclusion of Government in the Western Hemisphere Unit Science Chapter 17 - Earth in Space Hour of Code – Computer Science NYS Math Assessment May 2nd – May 4th Progress Reports Sent Home Friday, May 19th Spring Concert Grades 3-5 Tuesday, May 23rd 7:00 P.M. Field Day/ Release 15 Minutes Early Friday, May 26th Memorial Day – No School Monday, May 29th Glance at the Month Ahead In Reading Workshop, we will be researching our chosen debatable topics (High Risk Sports, Plastic Bags, Plastic Water Bottles, Humans/Sharks) In Writing Workshop, we will be continuing our argument writing unit as we explore our debatable issues (Boxes & Bullets/Drafting) In Math, we will be starting Chapter 9 of Go-Math Algebra- Patterns and Graphing In Science, we will be conducting hands on experiments & activities - Mystery Matter Please speak with your child about the importance of completing all homework assignments, especially as the school year comes to an end and we prepare for middle school. Extra help will continue on Tuesday & Friday mornings at 8:00 A.M. For review at home, your child can log onto Zearn for math practice.
