THE #6 PLACE WHERE CHRISTIAN PERSECUTION IS WORST Sudan is an Islamic country known for supporting Islamic extremist groups. President al-Bashir wants to establish an Islamic state and ensure that all citizens follow strict Sharia laws. Sudanese Christians are facing persecution on a daily basis. Churches are destroyed, and church leaders are often arrested and falsely accused of crimes they did not commit, and Christians experience extremely high levels of violence.
PRAY FOR OUR PERSECUTED FAMILY Pray for Christians in Sudan to forgive those who wrongfully accuse them, and that their example of God’s love will bring many to Christ. Pray for President al-Bashir, that he will come to know Jesus and that those in positions of power will have a change of heart toward the Church in Sudan. Pray for those who left Islam to follow Jesus to find a supportive church community.
