Weighting on Person Level Geocoding Two basic reasons – distance calculation & spatial distribution Project requirement about spatial distribution was NUTS 1 Place name (town, village, ...) coordinates are sufficient GEOnet Names Server, National Imagery and Mapping Agency's (NIMA) + US Board on Geographic Names ID as reference to the list of places is stored in the database During data integration and post processing, global coordinates and NUTS codes were assigned to each place Survey organisations responsible for coding and geocoding (good – place spellings, phone back) Coding tools before field work starts, since many org. allow ASCII, coding book compliant, instant error checking, Four scheduled intervals, two stages, for each survey organisation separately, need more! The exports were produced from the relational tables of the MS SQL database system. Each relational table is extracted as a separate file.
