Who Can Participate in European Day of Languages? Everyone can take part! Children at school, children at nursery, children at home, as well as staff and parents!

Why Do We Have a European Day of Languages? There are lots of different languages spoken in Europe, and we should celebrate all of these languages! Did you know that there are 24 official languages spoken in Europe?

How Can We Celebrate European Day of Languages? Learn new words from another country. Taste food from other countries. Hold a ‘language day’ to show off the learning of the languages that you have been learning at school. Maybe a French breakfast or a German birthday party!

Why Is It Good to Learn More Languages? You can get jobs in other countries when you are older. You can make new friends from other parts of the world. When you are on holiday, you could speak the language.
