The next four slides pertain to the remaining four book projects The next four slides pertain to the remaining four book projects. Students must pick two books from a list (slides 2 and 3) and two informational text books (nonfiction). These can be chosen in random order. The next four projects are due Sept. 12, Sept. 19, Oct. 3, and Oct. 10. Either pick a novel or a nonfiction, informational text book. Four more books to read in this nine weeks!!!

Informational Text Project - PAMPHLET Pick an Informational Text book on a science or technology topic. Turn in this pamphlet based on that book on or before any of the following four dates: Sept. 12, Sept. 19, Oct. 3, or Oct. 10 Informational Text Project - PAMPHLET Make an informational pamphlet depicting the most important facts from your book. Illustrate the most important facts or use images from the internet. The pamphlet must be informative and show facts from the book – be objective!!! Expectations: Points: Turn assignment in on time? 10 Creative and in-depth? 40 Illustrations? Informative? 20 Spelling, Grammar, and Punctuation correct? 30

You will write a minimum of 15 questions plus the answer key. Be creative – Ask good questions!!!! It is your choice whether the test be multiple choice, true/false, matching, fill-in-the-blank, or short answer – OR a mixture! Turn in this book project based on that book on or before any of the following four dates: Sept. 12, Sept. 19, Oct. 3, or Oct. 10 Novel Project –A New Ending Rewrite the ending of the novel you have read. Be sure to explain events from the novel that lead up to your new ending. In the final paragraph, explain why your ending is better or more interesting than the author’s actual ending. Why did you change it the way you did? RUBRIC of EXPECTATIONS Expectations: Points: Turn assignment in on time? 10 Creative and in-depth? 40 Thorough and clear explanation of the ending including events leading up to it? 20 Spelling, Grammar, and Punctuation correct? 30

The lyrics must be appropriate!! Write a thorough explanation of why you chose that song, how it reminds you of the novel, etc. Be sure to include some of the lyrics in your explanation to show how it would fit the book. Reference the text to support your response.
