Water Drainage The way in which water drains or moves on earth’s surface

Water Drainage continued Water always goes from highest elevation to lowest elevation. In other words, water flows in the direction of gravity (down). All rivers start in mountains or hills After it rains, the water rolls down the mountain or hill They find other rivers to join and create a bigger river Eventually the rivers roll down into lakes/oceans

Tributary: the mini rivers that flow into the bigger river channel Tributary: the mini rivers that flow into the bigger river channel. They pay “tribute” to the main river.
