1st, 4th, 6th: Agenda Complete Monday Warm Up Students will finish the adaptation lesson from Friday. If they need to finish their thesis and adaptation classwork, they do this first. Then, they are to complete the Romeus and Juliet comparison worksheet front and back. When they are done, they are to write a ½ to 1 page synthesis comparing the two excerpts. They should have a thesis, three points with evidence comparing the two pieces.
3rd and 5th: Agenda Complete Monday Warm Up Have students read Act V, Scene II and answer the following question on the back of their Act V Packet: How do the events in Scene II develop, or add to the theme, “the inescapability of fate” Distribute the adaptation classwork to students and have them analyze what is said about the “opening scene” Write a thesis statement with the class about the Brooke vs. Shakespeare version. Distribute the Brooke/Shakespeare Analysis and have students analyze Act III, Scene V of Brooke and Shakespeare’s version. Will be hw if not finished in class.
