Jump Shot An attempt to score a basket by jumping straight up and in mid jump, propelling the ball in an arc towards the basket.

Rebound To gain possession of a basketball that has bounced off the rim or back board after an attempt on goal.

Box - Out To place the body between the basket and an opposing player, often with the arms spread behind the body to detect changes in the opponent’s position, when attempting to rebound the ball.

This occurs when an offensive player pushes or moves into a defensive player Charge

Jump Ball This will start a game of basketball.
