Working Groups (5 so far) Campus Cyberinfrastructure Communication, Collaboration, and Mobility Data Management Mobile Web Frameworks Optimizing Computing Infrastructure Include mention of the Priorities Committee

Three New Groups Data Management Mobile Web Frameworks Access, quantity, administrative, research Mobile Web Frameworks commonalities for mobile-consumable web services Optimizing Computing Infrastructure separate vs. central, local vs. outsourced

Campus Cyberinfrastructure Review of NSF ACCI Task Force Reports: Campus Bridging Cyberlearning and Workforce Development Data and Visualization Grand Challenges High Performance Computing Software for Science and Engineering Data Visualization Overlap Topic: Data Management During the Tuesday meeting, the NSF reports were discussed to 1) share some of the feedback/questions/areas of concern from this group, 2) facilitate conversation to find out how the reports have shaped efforts thus far or might inform paths going forward, and 3) identify any next steps (e.g., sharing back to NSF; providing additional info; etc.). Draft mini survey on the status of visualization on your campus; potential coordination with other groups (e.g., CASC) Data management has a deep impact on campus CI, but at the same time the new ACTI working group will look at some of the broader issues of data management.

Communication, Collaboration, and Mobility Integrated Communications Technology Survey Mobility for Safety/Security Communication as a Service (CaaS) Distributed Antennae System (DAS) Other potential topics: Mobility and enterprise processes Separate vs. convergent networks Survey is in final draft stage, with the co-chairs presenting on it Tuesday in order to get additional feedback from the community before it goes live in the next week or so. Looking at case studies of mobility being used in safety and security communications. CaaS: Looking to pursue a better understanding of the options together, seek experiences of those within the higher-ed community who have followed this path, and potentially explore the idea of community-cloud-based services and/or group negotiation with CaaS providers. Cellular coverage, DAS, etc; self vs. carrier funding
