HOW DO I CHANGE? MAHRAGAN EL KERAZA 2012

STORY FROM THE NT WHAT IS THE NT AND WHERE TO FIND IN THE HOLY BIBLE? THE BOOK OF ACTS. WHO WROTE IT? ST. LUKE

The Change of Apollos at the Hand of Achilla and Priscilla Apollos was a Jew born in Alexandria. He was taught in this great city about the OT and other religious books. He was very knowledgeable that it became his job to teach and preach others about OT. He travelled everywhere to teach people about God ‘s way.

How do I Change? He only preached people until the baptism of John, do you remeber who is John the Baptist? But he did know about Jesus Christ.

How do I change? One da One day, he was teaching in Ephesus with enthusiasm and among those people who listened to him were Achilla and Priscilla. They liked Jesus and knew everything about His INCARNATION and REDEMPTION (explain the 2 words)

How do I change? Achilla and Priscilla loved the way Apollos was preaching, but they realized from all his sermons that he didn’t know anything about Jesus. They decided to help him know Jesus so HIS LIFE WOULD CHANGE FOR THE BETTER

How do I change? They taught him everything about our Lord Jesus Christ like: His teachings, His miracles and His work. He listened to them in all humility (being humble) and rejoiced in what he learned about Jesus. Even though he was a great teacher, he still accepted to be taught by others and and his life changed for the better.

How do I change? Apollos was so proud to know Jesus that he went to Achaia (a city) to PREACH about Him. Achilla and Priscilla helped him get to the church there and introduced him to the DISCIPLES. He preached about Jesus His LOVE for us and His REDEMPTION

Memory verse « Teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you » Matthew 28:20

Take home message How did Apollos change? He was humble Even if he was a very smart and was a teacher He accepted to be taught by someone else He opened his heart to accept Jesus and preach His Name. How do I change? (brainstorming)
