WPA partnership with Servier JEAN DELAY PRIZE 2005 WPA partnership with Servier “ …awarded to any individual who has made a major contribution in the field of biological, psychological or social aspects of our discipline or trying to build bridges between them.”

JEAN DELAY PRIZE 2005 Jean Delay (1907 – 1987) stands at the origin of modern pharmacotherapy in psychiatry and revolutionized the treatment outcome for psychiatric patients, by the discovery of chlorpromazine as a neuroleptic, and isoniazide and iproniazide in the treatment of depression. Jean Delay was an outstanding French scientist and humanist, the first president of the WPA and one of the most important psychiatrists of the 20th century.
