It’s a very popular and traditional celebration.

In Italy Christmas Time starts, in the tradition, on the day of the Immaculate Conception and finishes for the Epiphany.

The Nativity has a very old tradition The Nativity has a very old tradition. Its traditional version is very big. In the small towns, people make the” Living Nativity”.

Christmas Markets are very popular Christmas Markets are very popular. In cities and towns, they’re very big and in them we can buy a lot of Christmas decorations.

The Christmas decorations, for example the Christmas tree, are in each house.

During the Christmas Time, each balcony is decorated.

Typical Christmas cakes are the Pandoro, a cake from Verona, and the Panettone, a cake from Milan with candied and raisins. The Panettone, in some Italian regions, is sometimes with local products. For example, in Sicily it’s with pistachio cream.

LIke in the rest of the world, in Italy Santa Claus, called in Italian «Babbo Natale», is the symbol of Christmas Celebrations, especially for children.
