Presentation transcript:

Ruth was a refugee, a widowed gentile She and her mother-in-law, went into exile The Lord’s plan for a husband, King of the Jews Started with a dowry, the price was one shoe.   Sarah was Abrahams’s wife, her dreams came to nought Barren for many years, she laughed at the thought She might give birth at last, and start her own clan, But all things are possible when God has a plan. Chorus Women of God, committed and true Turning events in their time Shaping our faith, not just our past They have a message of truth that will last.

The people of Israel recorded in song Amazing, miraculous things that their God had done Miriam’s triumphant song, when chariots bogged at sea Celebrate God’s strength and might; His people were free. In Jericho Rahab gave help to two spies Hid them on the house’s roof to dodge the king’s eyes Lowered to freedom; her faith was repaid When the spies said, “Our lives for yours would be a fair trade.” Chorus Women of God, committed and true Turning events in their time Shaping our faith, not just our past They have a message of truth that will last.

Hannah was fretful, she wanted a son Whose hair she would never cut, till God’s work was done She promised her faithful God, committed in prayer Samuel was born to her, his faith to declare. In Sychar, Samaria, beside Jacob’s Well, To a woman of guilt and shame, Jesus did tell, ‘Instead of just water, and blame as a wife, Receive my greater gift, of eternal life.’ Chorus Women of God, committed and true Turning events in their time Shaping our faith, not just our past They have a message of truth that will last. Lyrics by John Waddell Composed Andrew Davis © Davis Waddell 2018
