Volume 13, Issue 12, Pages 1186-1192 (December 2014) Effect of intermittent pneumatic compression on disability, living circumstances, quality of life, and hospital costs after stroke: secondary analyses from CLOTS 3, a randomised trial    The Lancet Neurology  Volume 13, Issue 12, Pages 1186-1192 (December 2014) DOI: 10.1016/S1474-4422(14)70258-3 Copyright © 2014 Dennis et al. Figure 1 Trial profile IPC=intermittent pneumatic compression. OHS=Oxford Handicap Scale. EQ5D-3L=health-related quality of life. Figure 2 Disability (OHS) in patients allocated IPC or no IPC OHS data were missing for 17 (1%) of 1438 patients in the IPC group and 18 (1%) of 1438 in the no IPC group and these patients are excluded. OHS=Oxford Handicap Scale. IPC=intermittent pneumatic compression. The Lancet Neurology 2014 13, 1186-1192DOI: (10.1016/S1474-4422(14)70258-3) Copyright © 2014 Dennis et al. Figure 3 Cost-effectiveness results expressed as a cost-effectiveness plane for IPC versus standard care The cost-effectiveness analysis is based on the costs of the IPC and days in hospital for 2799 patients with complete data and follow-up. Effect is measured as the differential between 6 months and modelled baseline EQ5D-3L, divided by two, and then multiplied by survival in days to calculate quality-adjusted life-days. IPC=intermittent pneumatic compression. ICER=incremental cost-effectiveness ratio. The Lancet Neurology 2014 13, 1186-1192DOI: (10.1016/S1474-4422(14)70258-3) Copyright © 2014 Dennis et al.
