What, why, where... Interactive online safety events „Safe on the Internet during Summer Time!“ Children summer camps 10 events each sumer of 2015 and 2016 700+ participants each summer 5 partner organizations involved

Interactive activities of the event

Opening of the event

Discussion on safer use of smart phones

Split to 5 teams 5 stations to visit

1) safe passwords

2) posting photos online

3) fun quiz including “tic tac toe” competition

4) creative workshop with drawing activities

5) online / offline balance

6) brain battle competition

Closing of event

Organizational issues idea/goal, target group partners activity ideas materials / technology space needed logistics funding other…

Lessons learnt be ready for intensive preparation and organization work keep in mind the peculiarities of summer camp staff and their premises during summer – the more interactivity the better using outdoors when available – sometimes it rains 
