A Note from the Teacher… Weekly Assessments: Graded weekly assessments come home every Tuesday. Please review the problems missed with your child. The assessments cover the standards that are projected to be on the new state test. REMINDERS: STAY CONNECTED: Our classroom has a class page at www.locustgrovepirates.org. It will contain our weekly skills and spelling words, newsletters, and classroom photos. Select your campus from the top of the page and locate my name under staff. Additionally, you may sign up for remind to receive updates and reminders by texting @tatum3rd to 81010. Power School: You can keep up to date with your child’s grades. If you have internet access, you can review your child’s grades in Power School. Call the office for your log in and password. I normally update grades on Sunday and Monday evenings. Yearbooks: Yearbooks are on sale now- They cost $35 until the end of the first semester. After that they are $45. Snacks: Please send enough snacks for 26 students once per month. Mrs. Tatum’s Activity Schedule Tuesday-Music Wednesday-Thursday- Friday- Tuesday- OUR LEARNING GOALS Reading: Story: “Destiny’s Gift” Genre: Fantasy Our target skills this week will be the understanding characters and determining the message of the story.   Language Arts: We will identify simple and compound sentences.
