Using CASA Connect

Entering Case Hours (time spent working on your CASA case) Go to the Hours tab.

Entering Case Hours (time spent working on your CASA case) Enter the date of the activity the number of hours (use units of .25 hours ie .5 for 30 minute 1.25 for 1 hour 15 minutes),and the type of contact.  In the description enter the Approximate time, and a brief description what you did ex: 1 pm called Social Worker, 10 am visit with child at their school, or 9 pm sent email to Attorney)  Check the Box for VOCA  You may also enter the mileage Entering Case Hours (time spent working on your CASA case) Scroll to the bottom of the page to the Case Hours section Select the correct child ID If you only have 1 child it will be your only option If you have more than 1 child but they are all in the same family, choose the first number provided for all hours. If you have more than one child in different families, ask you Advocate supervisor which number is associated with the different children.

Go to the Hours Report Tab   Checking your Hours Go to the Hours Report Tab   Select the date range to see all activities you have entered in that time period You can view the report below. If you notice any errors or omissions, notify you Advocate Supervisor.

Entering Notes Go to the Notes Input Tab   Select the date for the note (use the date that the event occurred) Select Child ID You can only select 1 child. If the note applies to more than 1 child, please state that in the note. List the Source of information i.e. Visit, phone call, email, CFT, court Enter the note- You can copy and paste from emails and other documents.

Entering Notes Once you have completed the note click Submit. If you determine that you need to correct the information after you submit, contact your advocate supervisor. You can enter as many notes as you need. You can use the Notes Report Tab to review your notes.

Reviewing Notes Go to the Notes Report Tab   Select the date range for review Select Child ID or Family ID If you are unsure of the ID’s for your children, please ask you advocate supervisor. Review the notes Click the > to expand the note and show all of the text. You can cut and paste from this screen for your report.

Updating your Subscription Go to the Subscribe Tab   Check the box and click continue

Updating your Subscription Enter the Code BCnjHd   Click Redeem BCnjHd
