Project Overview We will seek to find technologies and products in the Fort Bragg/Pope Air Force Base region that reduce health risks, are environmentally safe, and cost effective. 5/3/2019

Project Goals A reduction in the use of potentially hazardous materials; An avoidance of future environmental clean-up costs; an increase in military effectiveness; and a reduction in military expenditures. 5/3/2019

Project Tactics (1) to identify environmentally preferable products/product lines from local sources; (2) to produce training manuals for Fort Bragg and Pope Air Force base that emphasize the positive. 5/3/2019

An Example Office supplies is a multi-dimensional example. Information on the cost specific office products and a comparison of costs to readily available products at office supply stores will be included. The deliverable (report) will be ready for use by Fort Bragg’s and Pope Air Force Base’s contracting offices and affirmative procurement sustainability-working groups. 5/3/2019

Technology Transfer A website will be constructed that will include the Final Report, the PowerPoint Presentations, Training Materials, and other pertinent information. The Final Report will be delivered via the Internet. This PowerPoint Presentation will be posted to the WWW, which is another dimension of technology transfer. A website will be constructed wirh the e-mail addresses and Homepages of all of the local producers and sources of environmentally preferable products. CD-ROMs will be made available Demonstration sessions will be held at state or regional DOD and P2 conferences, and Environmentally Preferable Product "tool kits" that can be used to replicate activities of the project will be sent to other installations in this region. 5/3/2019
