How do you copy/paste or embed … Select text or data to be copied Ctrl C or Click on Copy Move to where text or data is to be copied to (your target) Ctrl V or Click on Paste the copied text or graphic etc from the source document will be pasted into the target document

What is embedding … Embedding means copy an object eg a chart from the source, and then paste the object into the target When you paste the source object it becomes part of the target document – it is embedded IN the target document

What can you do to the object … Embedding means that you CANNOT edit the embedded or copied/pasted object Embedding/copying and pasting, means that you CAN format the object, for example wrap text around it or change the contrast of the object

When you left click on an embedded picture, handles will appear on the object and a new Tab and ribbon will appear Go to a group and choose one of the formatting options - depending on what you want to do

Using Icon you can make the embedded object “float” in front of text, or have the text wrapping “tight” around the object

you can apply many effects to an image in a you can apply many effects to an image in a .docx file but these effects will not be available in a .doc file or if the image is a chart

Let’s get started You know what integration is You know how to plan the use of different data from different programs to meet any requirements in a brief You know how to copy/paste/embed data from different programs (source) to another program (target) then format embedded data to match formatting in the target document Let’s get started
