Results of written consultations of the Working Group Working Group on Population and Housing Censuses 19-20 May 2015
Background During discussions at the December 2014 meeting of the Task Force of Future EU censuses, two issues were identified on which further information was to be collected from NSIs Staff resources needed by NSIs to meet the requirements of the 2011 EU census data collection Possible needs for grants to support data source and methodological developments that could be applied for future censuses – both for 2021 and for census-type statistics after 2021 Two short questionnaires, with results discussed at the March 2015 meeting of the Task Force

Task Force opinion on when grants are most likely to be needed Largest need: 2016-2017 allocation – for work to take place 2017-2019 Smaller needs: 2015 – for work in 2016 2.17-2019 – work from 2018 onwards
Arrangements and timetable for grants – VIP.ADMIN Applications now closed Grants under the VIP.ADMIN project General administrative data-related project but priority will be given to proposals related to the census Budget €200 thousand Grants later in 2015
