NYS Department of Criminal Justice Services Accredited Agency 28% of police departments statewide are accredited. 135 policies and procedures Agency inspection and individual meetings with officers to test their knowledge of Department policy.

600 Officers Statewide at 30 campus locations The State University of New York Police Departments are full service and community oriented police agencies with STATEWIDE JURISDICTION. The Departments pride themselves on a level of professionalism, courtesy and respect that meets the specialized needs of our college settings. In keeping with the educational mission of SUNY, the departments encourage their members to continue their professional development through additional education and training. 600 Officers Statewide at 30 campus locations 21 sworn police officers at Oswego 10 civilian support staff Chiefs of SUNY Police are accountable directly to the President of the institution as well as a Commissioner of University Police in Albany.
