Overview Introduction Purpose Funds Raised Milestones Provide service dog awareness /raise funds for pairing veterans with service dogs at “no” cost. Funds Raised over $100K from the past 4 years. “Changing the multiple prescriptions to 4 legs….” Who Healing Paws for Warriors is a veteran found/veteran led 501(c)(3) that provides rescue to trained service dogs to veterans faced with Post Traumatic Stress, Traumatic Brain Injury and Military Sexual Trauma at “no cost” to the veteran with continued support; reducing the statistic of veteran suicide. Value Save a Veteran / Rescue a Dog; saving 2 Lives Impact I make Living proof that the program works. Slide: The Hook (10-15 seconds). Deliver a solid introduction that states: 1. Who you are 2. Value of your work 3. Impact you make. (brief examples) As a (insert position, ie graduate, volunteer, etc), this program benefits me (give 2-3 easy example). For example: Eat out Grocery shopping Re-connect with family

“22 a day is 1 too many”… Impact More than 63,000 veterans in the Florida Panhandle 184 new cases of PTSD diagnosed every day from the wars in Iraq & Afghanistan Statistically, one veteran every hour commits suicide Over 3 million dogs are euthanized in rescue shelters every year Program Difference Program exceeds with the combination of x1 experienced (a veteran) dog handler and x1 dog trainer. Effective x12 graduates, x5 pending graduation, x6 in upcoming class, and a waiting list for future classes. Average warrior is on 10-15 medications when beginning the program. 92% will eliminate or reduce prescription medications after they graduate from Healing Paws For Warriors. Partnered with NWF College (training grounds) and Primo Dog (reduced kennel costs). Do you have any impact stories that are amazing? Along with families reconnecting, returning to work, and going to school – provide 3 examples of what a SD dog does for the veteran (ie Block, Cover, Brace) How can someone get involved right now? - Fundraising, working with veterans, social media, tax preparation, non-profit experience. - What are you preparing to accomplish in the future? Applications are consistent and increasing as program is more known. 3000 sq ft indoor / outdoor training facility on 3-5 acreas of land.
