Introduction Purpose: To design an inefficient device that stamps paper. Costs: Mostly used scavenged material; ≈ $10 spent on adhesives, wood.
Process Launch marble at windmill arms. Second windmill arm releases catch on second marble. Second marble rolls down ramp; changes direction and falls upon seesaw. Seesaw raises pin, guillotine blade released. Guillotine cuts string, stamp released.
Conclusion Problems included Consistency of pin releasing axe Position of fishing line for successful cut Repeatable stamping Conservation of Momentum, Conversation of Energy, Projectile Motion Total energy of system: 0.3343 ft-lb
