OB OB: the study of the way people interact within the organization. OB seeks to understand the behavior on the organization to know how people are likely to behave.
When people interact in organization, many factors come into play, such as: Personality Motivation Job satisfaction and reward Leadership Authority and power Perception & learning Creativity Attitude Conflicts group & team
Personality Is a complex term, since it contains individual feelings, thoughts, cognitions, traits, and attitudes, visible and invisible behavior.
Note: that certain pattern of behavior is not visible, and is known only after proper testing of the individual behavior.
Motivation Is an internal and external factors that stimulate desire and energy in people to make more efforts to attain the objectives of organization.
Factors that enhance motivation 1. job enrichment: Job must redesign to provide opportunities for achievement, responsibility and growth.
