DisasterHelp.gov is a “one stop shop” for a wide range of emergency / disaster management references. Registered responders have access to a set of collaboration tools that are of high value during the Aware, Prepare, Mitigate, and Recover phases of the homeland security “life cycle.” Select the Disaster Management Tools option from the Web Based Tools option. A browser window opens. The DisasterHelp home page opens. Navigate within the DisasterHelp web site as you normally would.

NOTE: The following information is referenced from the nowCOAST website: nowCOAST has been enhanced to offer improved access to its nationwide database of real-time observations and NOAA forecast products. In addition to modifications made to the design and layout of the map viewer, nowCOAST now includes a separate 'Databrowser' application that keeps a record of observation/forecast sites that you've linked to during your session. The Databrowser allows you to browse through this link history to be able to compare forecast or observation data at different locations within a single browser window. More information about using the Databrowser can be found in the 'Help' section. NWS states that the information dissemination methods “are intended to provide data to users who currently have none or who can afford very little.” NWS recognizes the need to provide the emergency management community with access to a set of NWS warnings, watches, forecasts, and other products at no recurring cost. Toward that end, the Emergency Managers Weather Information Network (EMWIN) system was developed. In partnership with the Federal Emergency Management Agency and other public and private organizations. EMWIN is now evolving into a fully operational and supported NWS service. EMWIN is a suite of data access methods which make available a live stream of weather and other critical emergency information. Each method has unique advantages. EMWIN's present methods in use or under development for disseminating the basic datastream include: Radio Internet to include: Interactive Weather Information Network (IWIN) Internet Automatic Pull Technology Internet Automated Push Technology Live Automatic eMail, Paging, Broadcasting  Satellite
