R2E LMC Update (Weeks 32/33) Post-Mortem database: SEE analysis and link to existing RadWG list in preparation Shielding block delivery crisis solved: as UJ56 shielding is not needed, we could further optimize the block requirements -> cost reduction (blocks for UJ56 can be used for UJ14/16) FerroMatrix can deliver required blocks prior xMasBreak and to a good price Many thanks to EN-MME/MEF/HE for their quick and efficient help H4IRRAD test results on Power-Converters (RadWG tomorrow)

Observed Radiation Levels © MCWG (M. Calviani et al.) W32/33 cumulated luminosity: ~290 + ~160pb-

Observed Failures Week 32/33 © RadWG (G. Spiezia et al.) Week 32 & 33 Date/Time Fill # Equipment/System Area SEE Consequence Details 08.08. 2009 Cryo-WorldFip RR17 yes no dump loss of temperature reading of RQ8_R1B1/B2 09.08. 2010 QPS/PIC/PowerConv. RR77 unclear dump trip of RQT12.R7B1, QPS trigger possible, but no PM 10.08. 2011 UJ16 loss of temperature reading of DFBXB of the RQSX3.R1 11.08. 2019 PowerConv. UA23 (TDI/Maze) RCBXH2.L2: AD/DC power supply fault (SEB) 12.08. 2022 QPS/PowerConv. likely trip on RCBXV2.R1, 600A PC: SEE possible, dector board stalled, reset, dump 13.08. 2025 Cryogenics US85 unlikely trip of cold-compressor, electronics had to be exchanged, SEE unlikely as equipment worked again before 2nd failure without radiation; only possibility is SEL or similar leading to drifts which take time to appear 17.08. 2030 UJ56 RQX.L5 FGC reset didn't come back (bit not set), reset is automatic (24h) to avoid possible noise problems, SEE unlikely rather problem in reset procedure (to be clarified with EPC)

Failure Rate Evolution !!! Physics Fills (Stable Beams) only !!! Cryogenics patch solution for DFB logic in place (UJ14/16), works perfectly! (S. Claudet) PIC PLC relocation scheduled for this TS (M. Zerlauth)
