Introducing the 3L Programme Team Leader/Supervisor Level 3 Operations/Departmental Manager Level 5

In partnership with People Plus PeoplePlus is part of the Staffline Group designing, developing and delivering training to approximately 14,000 people, supporting over 1,700 employers.  They deliver a variety of training programmes and apprenticeships in various disciplines and sectors, including Customer Service, Project Management, Leadership & Management and Multi- Layer Lean & Continuous Improvement training.

Who is this for? Level 3 New or existing first line team leaders, supervisors or managers Those who want to develop a range of essential management skills Those who want to build their capability to motivate team members Those who want to gain a broad understanding of entry level leadership and management theory Upon completion, you will be eligible to register as an associate member of the Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM)

Eligibility Currently living in England Have lived in an EEA country for last 3 years Age 16+ Does NOT already hold an equivalent or higher qualification within leadership or management Committed to the remain in employment for the programme duration

Level 5 Existing supervisors and/or managers Those who have responsibility for driving the achievements of operational/departmental goals and objectives as part of the organisational/departmental strategy Those who want to move into a more strategic management role Those who want to build their capability to motivate teams Those who want to gain a broad understanding of leadership and management theory and practice Upon completion, you could be eligible to register as a fellow member of the Institute of Leadership & Management

Course Overview - Level 5 Module/Learning outcomes Building relationships – Approaches to customer and stakeholder relationship management. Collaborative working, sharing best practise. Negotiation, influence and networking. Reflection on broader risks. Finance – Governance and compliance, value for money, managing a budget. Considering financial implications of decisions, financial forecasting Awareness of Self – Unconscious bias, emotional intelligence, inclusivity. Self-evaluation, own impact on others, accepting feedback including 360 degree. Reflective learning, different learning styles, mental toughness and creating a personal development plan. Leading People – Leadership styles, leading and managing multiple teams and team leaders, leading and managing change. Coaching to support, approaches to mentoring, motivation and delegation techniques. Organisation culture, equality, diversity and inclusion and their impact on managing change Operational management – Approaches and models of organisational strategy and planning. Business planning techniques, sales & marketing plans, delivering objectives & KPIs. Data management, contingency planning and the use of technology including data security. Business development tools, continuous improvement, initiating & managing change, overcoming barriers to change Managing people - Team management models, developing high performing teams, talent management models, recruiting and developing people. Enabling delivery through others Decision making – Critical analysis, problem solving techniques, decision making techniques, the impact of organisational values and ethics on decision making Management of self – Time management tools and techniques, prioritising, approaches to planning and managing multiple tasks Project management – The project lifecycle, project management knowledge areas, project management tools and techniques, identifying and managing risk Communication – Techniques and models, how to hold challenging conversations, giving constructive feedback.
