American Revolution War Summary Chart

CAUSES Long-term: Geography – 3,000 miles of the ocean Colonial Self-Government – House of Burgesses and Mayflower Compact Salutary Neglect – British gov. left the colonies alone for years

CAUSES Short-term: French and Indian War – Wars are expensive Parliament passing taxes – Stamp Act, Tea Act, etc. Colonists Protests – “No taxation without representation”, Boston Tea Party (AND one more…the Spark!)
