PHYSICAL EDUCATION Expectations

Expectations at beginning of Period: Locker rooms / Dressing out Being Respectful: No dressing in restroom stalls EVER Use appropriate language/ no foul language No phones Respect privacy Use appropriate voice levels/ no yelling Keep hands to self Being Safe: Lock backpacks away in long lockers at beginning of period Keep phones secured in lockers Report spilled liquids/ broken glass immediately Report injuries/ illness to nearest teacher/adult Being Responsible: Be INSIDE locker room when tardy bell rings Use restroom before class Dress out quickly to avoid being late to class Wear appropriate PE attire/shoes No destruction of property No eating/ food in locker rooms

Expectations at roll call: Be Responsible: Be on time to roll call Dress out in PE attire everyday Participate in warm up activities No eating/ food Be Safe: Do not bring outside equipment to PE Keep hands to self Be on roll call number immediately after leaving locker room / no loitering Be Respectful: Wait patiently on roll call number Use appropriate language/ no foul language No phones or ear buds Listen to teacher/ follow directions

Expectations during Activity: Be Responsible: Use equipment appropriately Stay engaged in the activity (no sitting) Play using game rules Put equipment away when prompted No phones/earbuds/distractions Wear appropriate athletic gear Work towards personal fitness goals Be Respectful: Play with sportsmanship Use positive words/ no foul language Include your classmates Listen to teacher/ follow directions Keep facilities clean Be Safe: Keep ball at appropriate level (no kicking/ throwing ball at others or ceiling) Wear athletic shoes Use equipment in which they are designed to be used Be self aware No phones/ earbuds/ electronics Report injuries/ illness to nearest teacher/adult

Expectations at end of period: locker rooms / Dressing out Be Responsible: Secure your locks before leaving locker room Wait INSIDE locker room until bell rings Take PE clothes home every weekend to be washed Keep wet clothes out of lockers Dress out quickly to avoid being late to class Be Respectful: Listen to teacher/ follow directions No dressing in restroom stalls No eating/ food Respect privacy Keep hands to self Be Safe: Report to locker rooms after class dismissal Walk at an appropriate pace Report spilled liquids/ broken glass Report injuries/ illness to nearest teacher/ adult

Not meeting PE expectations Not meeting the expectations for Physical Education classes as described in previous slides will result in the following consequences: 1st Offense: Reminder + Opportunity to Correct 2nd Offense: Call Home 3rd Offense: Referral for After School Detention 4th Offense: Administration Review
