You can now work your way through the application process. UCAS 2019 STEP 10 You can now work your way through the application process. The menu at the side will allow you to keep track of what you have completed or are currently working on. If you have completed the section a red tick  will appear, if you have started the section but not finished it … appears in the box.

Some information will have been copied over. UCAS 2019 STEP 11 You will navigate through a number of pages filling in more specific personal details. Some information will have been copied over. Some information requires you to choose from lists, in this case, for example, your area of permanent residence would be ‘Highland’

UCAS 2019 STEP 12 The Student support section causes pupils problems as they are unsure what options to choose. Everyone needs to put in a Fee code In most cases it will be the ‘02 …’. Although it gives you Highland as an option further down the list in the pop up menu the instructions at the top are clear select ‘Student AA Scotland’ (further down the selection in the ‘S’ section)

UCAS 2019 STEP 13 Don’t worry, if you tick the ‘section complete box’ and press save without completing the section, it will jump back to the top and inform you of what you have still to do.

You can not add more in by using a smaller font. UCAS 2019 STEP 14 It is best to word process your personal statement and then paste it in. The software on the site changes the type and size of font you can use. You can not add more in by using a smaller font.

Note that they cannot do this after it is sent to UCAS. Once you feel that your application form is complete, you will ‘send’ it to your Guidance Teacher. There is an application fee of £13 for a single choice or £24 for more than one choice. This money must be given to your Guidance teacher before the application is sent to UCAS. If there are errors in your form or you simply wish to change something on it, your Guidance Teacher can return it to you for alteration. Note that they cannot do this after it is sent to UCAS.

UCAS 2019 Official deadlines for submitting your application: 15 October 2018 - application deadline for the receipt at UCAS of applications for all medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine and veterinary science courses and for all courses at the universities of Oxford and Cambridge. If you are applying through UCAS Conservatoires your deadline will be different – research your course. Some course providers require additional admissions tests to be taken alongside the UCAS application, and these may have a deadline. 15 January 2019 - application deadline for the receipt at UCAS of applications for all courses except those listed above with a 15 October deadline, and art and design courses with a 24 March deadline.

UCAS 2019 LHS deadlines for submitting your application: 1st Draft of Personal Statement handed in to Guidance by Thursday 20th September 2018 (this gives pupils time from 27/06 to 20/09 to work on their UCAS application. This deadline gives guidance staff 3 weeks to read, provide feedback and return personal statements before the October break) Personal Statement to be completed by Friday 9th November 2018 (Pupils will have from 12/10 to 09/11 to work on their personal statement, allowing time for several drafts/feedback) Online application completed (awaiting reference) by Friday 16th November 2018 (all applications sent by Friday 14th December giving Guidance staff a month to complete references etc.)
