Not only will we meet our link class, we will also find out more about them (and ourselves) by sharing information in different ways.

What does curious mean?

If you are curious, you are eager to learn or know something.

We are going to think of questions to ask the children in our link class. This is a great opportunity for us to find out more about them as a class and to also find out more about the children in our link class as individuals as they will be answering our questions.

In groups of 4, think of different types of questions we could ask our link class. We want a mixture of big, open questions and also specific factual questions. We will then pick a selection of each to send across to our link class. What is the name of your headteacher? What do you want to be when you grow up? What do you like to do in your spare time?

Open questions will give us different answers and these will normally be answers be wouldn’t be able to guess. This information will really tell us more about a person. Can you think of any examples of closed questions? E.g. How old are you? Can you give an example of an open question? E.g. What is your favourite book? In your groups, how many open questions can you think of?
