Focus: Jumping Sub-Focus: Jumping and landing Session Objective: To be able to understand how to perform a wide range of jumps and to execute them accurately.

Activity Detail Skills Used Resource Warm Up Jogging around the area in different directions e.g. forwards, backwards sideways. Use a wide range of stretches and introduce the different jumps performed last week into the warm up. Jogging Stretching Skill Focus Children will take it turns and practice performing a range of jumps from spot to spot e.g. tuck, star, pencil, straddle, turn. Children will then put two of the jumps together to start a sequence. Awareness Jumping Co-ordination Landing Accuracy Spots Mats Technical Practice Mats will now be introduced and children split up into small groups where they will now put all jumps practiced into a sequence. Children will have spots and a matt so there is enough room to perform all jumps. Same as above Progression Children will then take it in turns to show the group.
