Bellwork (Warm-up) Feudalism Gone Wrong? for 10/20-21/16 The focus here is argumentative writing. For practice, you will write one paragraph. Your thesis will take the side that feudalism was not just or fair. Expect to use up to fifteen minutes to complete this work. Steps to write: 1. Write the subject of your paragraph. (one sentence) 2. Present background information. (several sentences) 3. Write your thesis: what is your conclusion? (one sentence at the end of the paragraph) 4. Optional. Write to show the reader how you will argue for your thesis in subsequent paragraphs. (written after the thesis) Your source for background information is your textbook, Chapter 9, Lesson 1 and 2. Once you have written your paragraph, or you can’t write this paragraph after you have looked over the textbook source and watched the video, look at the teacher’s example of the introductory paragraph for an argument about feudalism.
