Transparent Transparent materials let light pass through them in straight lines, so that you can see clearly through them. Examples: Eye glasses A window.
Light by Rifki Irawan Refraction. Based on how the light behaves as it encounters a substance, substances can be classified into: Transparent substance.
Visible light waves. How do light waves behave when they strike an object?
Light & Color.
Types of Surfaces. When light hits different surfaces, it behaves in different ways. Surfaces can be one of three types. Light can pass through a substance,

Shadows in the desert. Shadow A shadow is a region of darkness where light is blocked. It occupies all of the space behind an opaque object with light.
LIGHT BASICS. Illumination The human eye can detect changes in size, brightness, position, color of an object. We can tell the difference between shadows.

Presentation transcript:

Write these words and definitions Opaque: Impenetrable to light; not allowing light to pass through. Translucent: Permitting light to pass through but diffusing it so that persons, objects, etc., on the opposite side are not clearly visible: Frosted window glass is translucent but not transparent. Transparent: Having the property of transmitting rays of light through its substance so that bodies situated beyond or behind can be distinctly seen.
