Procedures Start of class (first 10 mins.) – sit quietly, update planner, do Bellwork, display homework, teacher time to take attendance. End of class (last 5 mins.) – end of class review, clean surroundings. Hall Pass – student writes request on log; no pass during the first / last 10 minutes of class; teacher issues pass. Completed work – student must show work, check answer is correct and rate mastery level. Teacher needs attention – teacher displays “give me 5 signal” or sounds chime and students sit silently. Student needs attention – student raises his/her hand to answer questions. Lunch – students must form a line one behind the other and must be 3 tiles from the wall and walk quietly on the right hand, students must listen for stop and go signals.

8 Mathematical Practices 1 - Make sense of problems and persevere in solving them. 2 - Reason abstractly and quantitatively. 3 - Construct viable arguments and critique the reasoning of others. 4 - Model with mathematics. 5 - Use appropriate tools strategically. 6 - Attend to precision. 7 - Look for and make use of structure. 8 - Look for and express regularity in repeated reasoning.
